  7.     Stop the music! Newly clean and sober, Ringo Starr went to
  8. court last week to block the release of recordings he made last
  9. year while under the influence of booze. The former Beatle, who
  10. recently underwent rehabilitation for alcohol abuse and is now
  11. on a 30-city tour, calls the tapes embarrassing "second-rate"
  12. stuff, not up to his standards. The producer of the disputed
  13. cuts, says Ringo, passed out tequila during the session,
  14. creating a "degenerative atmosphere" where too much time was
  15. spent "in activities other than recording."
